Pope aims at the 'culture of death'.


Vatican City--On January 8, 2006, while baptizing 10 infants in the Sistine Chapel Sistine Chapel (sĭs`tēn) [for Sixtus IV], private chapel of the popes in Rome, one of the principal glories of the Vatican. Benedict is the regnal name of the current Roman pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI (2005–present) and has been the name of fourteen other popes (and three antipopes):
  • Pope Benedict I (575–579)
