I can't believe a magazine as cool as GL would use the word "retarded." We all hear the word used in school and don't need to find it in our magazines. Please don't use stereotypes, such as "retarded" and "gay," in future issues. Because, even though you mean them lightly, they're not to be used that way.

--Chandra

I was appalled that one of your quizzes used the word "retarded" and even more disappointed to see one of my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York. "Retarded" is not only insulting to one person but to so many people. The last place I expected to see that word was in GL.
