Unfortunately, limited space makes it impossible to highlight all of Poe's works; none of his marvelous detective stories is included in this volume, though a lesser work like King Pest is. This is a fine introduction to a masterful American writer. He originally came to public prominence most notably with the Judge Dredd Megazine series The Straitjacket Fits , Lisa Weber, Matt Howarth and Lance Tooks have all contributed material to this volume, so the stories and poems are illustrated in a variety of artistic styles.
