Polycarbonate-based Film.

Bayer Films Americas has designed a new polycarbonate-based film specially developed for bright "metallic look" applications. Makrofol[R] DPF-5072 features a gloss first surface and a matte second surface. Both surfaces are printable, and the gloss first surface provides the metallic look. Available at a thickness of 0.015" and a width of 48.5", the film is formable using thermo-, hydro-, and high-pressure forming. Makrofol DPF-5072 is best suited for flat appliques such as backlit deadfront and film molding insert applications that have draw depths less than 0.5".
