 BB: PYMX) announced today that it has appointed Dr. R. Eric McAllister as Vice President, Clinical Development and Chief Medical Officer.

R. Eric McAllister, M.D., Ph.D. has joined PolyMedix as Vice President of Clinical Development and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. McAllister has over 25 years of experience developing a number of important drugs in a variety of therapeutic areas. He comes to PolyMedix from CombinatoRx Inc., where he was Senior Vice President of Clinical Development. In a career spanning over 20 years Dr. McAllister has previously been with Sicor Pharmaceuticals, TAP Pharmaceuticals TAP Pharmaceuticals is an Japanese pharmaceutical company.

It is a joint venture between Abbott Laboratories and the Japanese Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, formed in 1977.

. Dr. McAllister has worked on the development of such major pharmaceutical products as Lupron, Pravachol, Capoten, Kerlone, Cardene, Calan, Avandia, Actos, Teveten, and Atacand. Dr. McAllister will be leading all of PolyMedix's clinical drug development efforts.
