* MP Joe Comartin Joseph J. "Joe" Comartin (born December 26, 1947 in Stoney Point, Ontario) is a Canadian lawyer and politician. Comartin joined the New Democratic Party in 1969.

The next day, he, too, headed for the local Gay Pride March. Murphy claims to be a Catholic.

* Conservative Party Senator Michel Fortier of Montreal represented Prime Minister Harper at the "Gay Games" in Ottawa. He announced that he supports SSM. The Senator is in the Senate only temporarily and will have to run as MP in the next election.

* Bloc Quebecois MP Francine Lalonde (La Pointe-de-l'isle) has announced she intends to re-introduce her euthanasia bill in the fall session of Parliament.

* Two Catholic Nova Scotia MPs, Mark Eyking (Sydney-Victoria) and Michael Savage (Dartmouth), are supporting the openly homosexual activist Scott Brison for the leadership of the Liberal party. Both voted for SSM in 2005.

 Ted Morton is running for the leadership of the Alberta Conservative Party. A political scientist by profession (University of Calgary), Morton is a strong pro-lifer. He deserves support.

Note re municipal elections." Do not vote for Alex Munter, candidate for Mayor of Ottawa. Munter, supposedly a Catholic, is a gay activist of long standing and a supporter of SSM.
