Political fashion.


The house music will blare, the fashion will he oh-so-cutting-edge and the primped and preened models are bound to impress.

That's if your taste in clothes is less haute couture than 100 percent cotton and your preference in models tends less toward Gisele Bundchen than, say, Laura Chick.

It's the second annual Clean Air-Always Fashion Show, sponsored by the Coalition for Clean Air.

The Dec. 9 fundraiser is scheduled to feature no fewer than 20 local politicians wearing clothes by likes of Earth Speaks, Natural High, Sahara Organics and other designers and clothing companies.

"We did it last year, and it was blast and we are going to do it this year and have a bigger blast," said Martin Schlageter, a coalition staff member.

But don't expect any of the flesh-baring common on the runways of Paris or Milan.

"We are definitely respectful with our models," Schlageter said.
