Police seek men after pub shooting.

A man was recovering yesterday after he was shot outside a Black Country pub.

The 25-year-old victim, who has not been named, was shot near the Shireland Inn in Shireland Road, Smethwick, on Monday night.

Gunshots were heard at around 9.50pm and the man was taken to hospital with leg injuries.

His condition was described yesterdayas 'poorly but comfortable'.

Now police are trying to trace two men who were seen running along Shireland Road towards Selsey Road after the shooting.

One of the men is described as aged in his mid 20s, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall with a green or blue top.

The second man is described as 5ft 6ins tall of medium build.

Detective Inspector Ron Winch, of Smethwick CID, said: 'We would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who was in Shireland Road at the time and who may have seen the men running off.'
