Police arrest 2 after fight in park.

Two 19-year-old Eugene men were arrested early Saturday on assault and weapons charges in connection with an arranged fight involving about 30 people in the parking lot of Alton Baker Park Alton Baker Park is located in Eugene, Oregon, United States, near Autzen Stadium. Officers said that shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, they responded to the fight, which involved rocks, clubs, sticks and baseball bats. One occupied car was struck by gunfire, and a 9 mm handgun was recovered from the scene, Reynolds said.

Earlier, an argument between two different groups over the phone escalated to the point that both parties agreed to meet at Alton Baker Park to have it out, he said.

"Each side recruited their buddies, and all of a sudden it's the `West Side Story' all over again," Reynolds said.
