e-point 5 Deployment Supports Verizon Business-to-Business Sales

Point Information Systems, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of e-CRM (electronic customer-relationship management) solutions, today announced that Verizon recently has implemented Point's e-point e-CRM solution to support account managers in its Business Partnership Channel (BPC).

The deployment features 330 e-point Contact Center Web Desktop licenses located in Verizon call centers in Maynard, Massachusetts, and Exton, Pennsylvania, with servers located in Maryland. In addition to sales and account management, Verizon BPC account managers are using the software to help win back former customers, retain existing customers, and more accurately forecast future sales opportunities. The Verizon BPC focuses on business-to-business sales to medium-sized companies with annual revenues between $10,000 and $60,000 that are based in the eastern half of the United States.

Verizon BPC account managers in western states already use the TeamPoint CRM solution, e-point 5's predecessor, to support sales and account management functions. Future plans call for Verizon to replace TeamPoint with e-point Contact Center, which leverages Point's unique e-CRM architecture to bring core marketing, sales and service functionality to multi-media customer interaction.
