Pogo Linux Announces Support for New Intel Dual Core Platform; Intel Dual Core Technology Will Integrate Easily with Customers' Compute-Intensive Linux Environments.


BOSTON -- Pogo Linux, a premier Linux server vendor, today announced support for Intel's next generation platform that will support true dual core processing. Forthcoming Pogo Linux server solutions are designed to help Linux users take advantage of the Intel platform's new capabilities and reduced power consumption to boost compute-intensive application function and lower total cost of ownership.

Availability

Available in Q2, Pogo Linux solutions featuring the new dual core design will be compatible with various versions of Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise, CentOS (Community ENTerprise OS) A Linux distribution that is built from the same open source modules in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which is a commercial product. Since Linux is open source, the OS can be copied and distributed without infringing on any distributor's rights , and Fedora A free distribution of the Linux kernel from Red Hat along with a variety of open source utilities. Technical support is not provided for any of the Fedora distribution, only for Red Hat's full fee-based subscription of Linux.  Core.
