Poet's corner.
You were just a boy when your dad went to war
To feed your family your morn became a whore
The pension came in, food from Marines
Filled your head with ambitions and dreams.
They kept you off the streets, they gave you a home
Kept you occupied, made sure you weren't disowned
The situation was hell for any one man,
I thought you said that killing should be banned?
Died for the USA. Died for the USA.
Now you're 18, your number's come up,
Time to go to war, time to get shot
Go into the jungle, and shoot your way out,
Kill the enemy, that's what it's all about.
Die for your country, your country needs you
The enemy was shot, but your country killed you.
