), announces that it has acquired either by staking or by way of option agreements, all the land position required to start an aggressive exploration campaign. Plexmar geologists believe that the Bolsa del Diablo and the surrounding areas has the potential to become a new gold mining camp.

In total, Plexmar now controls over 21,134 hectares or 211.3 Km2 of land in this new mining camp. In total 24 properties were acquired by staking and Plexmar has signed option agreements on 2 properties. Bolsa del Diablo is located 120 kilometres northeast of the town of Piura, near the town of Las Lomas Las Lomas may refer to:
  • Las Lomas, California, a census-designated place in Monterey County
  • Las Lomas (Mexico City), a neighborhood of Mexico City
.

Artisanal miners have been working in the general area and finding bonanza grade gold material for the past year only. The area was known to be highly prospective for base metals as indicative by the presence of the undeveloped Tambo Grande (VMS (1) (Virtual Memory System) A multiuser, multitasking, virtual memory operating system for the VAX series from Digital.  until recently.

Already hundreds of artisanal miners are digging trenches in a total random fashion and extracting material grading between 1.5 ounces to over 10 ounces of gold per tonne in some areas. (See March 29, 2005 press release)

Guy Bedard says: "In order to minimize the competition from local prospectors and local Companies, we kept a low profile for the past 6 months as our team of geologists were busy sampling and understanding the geology of this new gold mining camp. At the same time we established excellent working relationships with the local communities."

An alteration system of significant size, a minimum of 6 km2, has been identified within the property. All samples collected so far are anomalous in gold with values ranging from 14 ppb to 119 g/t Au. Preliminary observations suggest the presence of a large scale epithermal system with characteristics typical of a high sulphidation system (Yanacocha, Pierina).

All the volcanic rocks in the area of interest show pervasive argillic alteration and have developed very intense stockwork structures. Gold mineralization occurs partly as fracture fillings in the stockwork and also as dissemination throughout the rock. Limonitization is pervasive throughout the rock. This intense stockwork was observed in numerous places throughout the property.

A 43-101 report has been completed and will be made available as soon as possible.

Following is an excerpt from the 43-101 report on the Bolsa del Diablo property authored by H. Gond and L. Winter, April 2005:

"The Bolsa del Diablo property hosts mineralization styles most characteristic of an epithermal system. Colloform banding and drusy/vuggy quartz in veins are more typical of low-sulphidation systems. The lack of vuggy-silica textures and widespread quartz and argillic alteration are generally more indicative of low-sulphidation system, though significantly more work is required before this can be determined with confidence. The alteration at Bolsa del Diablo has not been studied in detail, but a few samples submitted for petrographic pe·trog·ra·phy

Identification of specific clay minerals associated with the argillic alteration requires further study.

A permeable host rock is of key importance for epithermal deposits. Large volume fluid flow is a prerequisite of all large epithermal deposits and requires either primary (e.g., volcaniclastic rock, diatreme diatreme

At Bolsa del Diablo, network fracture patterns and localized brecciation appear to have provided some level of permeability in the volcanic rocks and permitted pervasive alteration and disseminated sulphide mineralization. These fractures appear to be the result of flow banding and, although this unit has been included in the Cretaceous Lancones Formation, the authors believe that the well preserved features could indicate a younger age.  zones known in the region. A number of high grade quartz veins of probable low-sulphidation epithermal-type are spatially associated with these altered rocks. Both bulk tonnage and high grade targets exist and the use of an epithermal precious metal deposit model analogous to gold-silver deposits throughout the extensive metallogenic belts of the Andean Orogen is considered reasonable. Notable gold deposits within these belts include: high sulphidation epithermal: Yanachoca, Pierina, Alto Chicama; and low sulphidation epithermal (Portovelo)."

Plexmar has already started the permitting process to acquire the drilling permits.
