The 1999 Pleasant AirPass is available for only $1,299 per person. Consumers can use the AirPass for flights from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  and San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  to Honolulu and Maui on Pleasant's scheduled ATA flights. The AirPass is also available to Hawaii residents traveling to and from Los Angeles or San Francisco.

The AirPass can also be used in conjunction with any of Pleasant's land packages. Pleasant can add hotel, ground transportation, and any necessary inter-island flights for any of the six major Hawaiian Islands.

In making the announcement, Karen Schulz, Pleasant's vice president, marketing, said, "When we first introduced the AirPass last year for 1998 travel, we sold out in a few weeks. The 1998 AirPass members have already used their flight privileges an average of 7.5 times, so we fully expect to see a tremendous demand for the 1999 AirPass. It pays for itself in only a few trips, so these won't last long!"

Schulz added, "The AirPass is ideal for those individuals who love Hawaii and plan to visit often. It's also a terrific Christmas gift for those traveling frequently to or from Hawaii."

A limited number of AirPasses will be sold. Reservations for travel can be made no more than 60 days in advance of departure based on availability at the time of booking. The AirPass cardholder card·hold·er
