Playboy bunnies expand their territory with new lease.


International entertainment giant Playboy Enterprises Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: PLA), also organized as New Playboy, Inc. (NYSE: PLAA), is the company founded by Hugh Hefner to manage the Playboy magazine empire. It was created in 1953 as the HMH Publishing Co., Inc. , publisher of the No. 1 men's magazine in the world, has expanded and renewed its lease for 15 years at 730 Fifth Ave., a class A office tower best known as The Crown Building, located at the southwest corner of 57th Street.

Playboy, which has been in The Crown Building since 1992, renewed its lease on its existing space of about 64,000 s/f and expanded its presence in the building to more than 73,000 s/f for a term of 15 years. The lease encompasses the entire third and fourth floors and part of the fifth floor.

Cushman & Wakefield brokerage professionals Paul Glickman, A. Mitti Liebersohn and David Glassman represented Playboy in lease negotiations with the landlord, Lexington Building Co. LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

The landlord was represented by David Falk David B. Falk (born 1950)[1][2] is an American sports agent who primarily works with NBA players. He is best known for representing sports icon Michael Jordan for the entirety of Jordan's career.  and Barry Gosin, of Newmark.

"Playboy evaluated its lease very early on and considered all options including relocating," said Mr. Glickman, a Cushman & Wakefield executive vice president. "The decision to stay at 730 Fifth was influenced by great ownership that was flexible to accommodate future growth, a high quality building and infrastructure and a premier location with a well-known presence."

Built in 1921, 730 Fifth Ave. is one of midtown's most prominent boutique buildings. Rising 26 stories above Fifth Avenue at 57th Street, its 350,000 s/f of space is home to some of the most respected names in business. In addition to Playboy, tenants include Ermenegildo Zegna The high-fashion clothing company Ermenegildo Zegna (pronounced as IPA: [ˈdzeɲa]) was founded in 1910 in Trivero, Italy by tailor and entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna. , Gianfranco Ferra USA, Bulgari, Banco Espanol de Credito and Kerzever International.
