Plavix patent challenged by Aircoat.

Sanofi-Aventis (Paris, France) has been notified that its patent in the UK issued from its European Patent claiming the active ingredient in its Plavix product has been challenged by Aircoat, Ltd., a Scottish company, in a Scottish Court. Sanofi-Aventis believes Aircoat's arguments to be without merit, and will vigorously defend its patent.
