It is exciting to see powerful technologies from grid computing, like Platform's Enterprise Grid Orchestrator[TM] applied to the automation of virtual infrastructure. Integration with XenEnterprise v4 extends Platform's leading enterprise grid technologies with the ability to deliver fully automated virtual infrastructure."

Introduced in August 2007, XenEnterprise v4 includes XenMotion[TM] for live migration of running virtual machines; XenCenter[TM], a scalable, resilient virtual infrastructure management framework integrated into every host; an open, standards-based XenAPI which enables ISVs and OEMs to develop add-on solutions for XenEnterprise v4; and, a powerful 64-bit hypervisor that supports both 32- and 64-bit enterprise workloads. This release includes version 3.1 of the Xen open source hypervisor and leverages the latest hardware virtualization support features from Intel and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips.  to deliver near bare metal performance. Benefiting from XenSource's comprehensive 24x7 regression testing on hundreds of hosts worldwide, XenEnterprise is without doubt the highest performance and most robust virtualization platform available.

"XenSource is an emerging leader in the virtualization space offering excellent performance and stability as well as a must-have virtualization feature set in XenEnterprise v4," said Jingwen Wang, Vice President of Products, Platform Computing.
