Plasticity measurement.

The Model P14 V/T V/T Voltage/Temperature
V/T Velocity divided by Time
variable temperature model has been added to the company's range of rapid plastimeters. Plasticity measurement using the P14 V/T is said to be a very quick method of characterizing the flow behavior of robber compounds. For some applications, this plastimeter is said to be a more effective alternative to viscosity measuring instruments such as the Mooney viscometer viscometer

Instrument for measuring the viscosity (resistance to internal flow) of a fluid. In one type, the time taken for a given volume of fluid to flow through an opening is recorded.

the company. Plasticity is said to be very important to rubber component manufacturers who monitor this property to help guarantee the processing quality of their compounds before they are molded into finished products such as tires and hoses. With the P14 V/T, the operator is said to accurately control the test temperature within the range of 60 to 180 [degrees] C. The P14, marketed under the company's Cogenix brand, features a c-frame design, said to provide safe and easy access for the operator when loading and removing samples from between the heated platens. Tight control of the sample temperature is said to be fundamental to the validity of the test, so two LEDs on the front panel are illuminated il·lu·mi·nate
