Plastic citrate tube. (Product Watch).

The BD Vacutainer Plus Plastic Citrate Tube is designed for all routine coagulation testing and to have clinical equivalence to the 4.5 mL BD Vacutainer Glass Citrate Tube. Its outer portion is made of PET, the same shatter-resistant plastic material as other BD plastic blood collection tubes. Its inner surface is polypropylene, a nonactivating surface used to ensure accurate and precise results. It allows for a 2.7 mL and a 1.8 mL draw volume to be incorporated into a full draw 13 x 75 mm, automation-friendly tube size.
