Plasmon Announces Three-Year Warranty for Enterprise UDO Archive Appliance Product Family.


New Warranty Affirms Commitment to Quality and Investment Protection

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Plasmon (LSE LSE - Language Sensitive Editor : PLM (Product Life cycle Management) A comprehensive information system that coordinates all aspects of a product from initial concept to its eventual retirement. Sometimes called the "digital backbone" of a product, it includes the requirements phase, analysis and design ), the trusted source in data archiving, today announced a free three-year warranty on the enterprise UDO (Ultra Density Optical) A 5.25" rewritable optical disc technology from Plasmon (www.plasmon.com) that also supports write-once (WORM) media. Using blue laser optics and phase change recording, 30GB drives and cartridges were introduced in 2003 with plans for 60GB and  Archive Appliance product family, including the AA238, AA438, and AA638. Due to the reliability of the Archive Appliance, Plasmon is able to offer customers this new warranty which includes next-day service, parts, and labor. Unlike competitive products, the Archive Appliance includes software as part of this new warranty support.

Plasmon's enterprise UDO Archive Appliance is a multi-tier storage device that allows the data from multiple applications to be stored in separate, secure archives. Individual policies can be applied to each archive enabling IT managers to meet the strictest of service level agreements for performance, cost and protection.
