Philips will include the SR1 high-performance Plantronics PC headset, specifically designed for today's speech recognition applications, in its newest version of FreeSpeech 2000, available in 3Q99.

Plantronics SR1, designed for ultimate comfort and style, has an ultra-sensitive noise-canceling microphone that delivers the full audio spectrum of human speech. The SR1 includes Plantronics' unique QuickAdjust(TM) microphone boom that allows the user to position the microphone easily and consistently for uniform performance and higher accuracy with speech recognition applications.

FreeSpeech 2000 is Philips latest development in its family of natural, continuous speech recognition products. FreeSpeech 2000 enables users to dictate text in six different languages, edit and format documents, surf the Internet by voice, and issue natural command and control over all aspects of the Windows(R) environment.
