Planned Systems International, Inc. Receives Major Award to Support DOD Health Affairs.

Columbia, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1999--

Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), an information technology solutions and services company, received notification today that it was awarded a contract of $181M over five years for Technology Solutions Support services (Lot IV) under the Defense Medical Information Management / Systems Integration, Design, Development, Operations and Maintenance Services (D/SIDDOMS II) program.

D/SIDDOMS Lot IV provides support for identifying, selecting, evaluating, and acquiring new and innovative commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and methods for meeting the information systems needs of the Military Health Services System. Lot IV was a fully competed small business set-aside.

Lot IV services will support and provide technical assistance as required for the design, development, deployment, operation, and maintenance for ongoing and future automation initiatives for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs -- a key organization focusing on the healthcare of military and military dependents.

The goal is to ensure the readiness of the military healthcare system in both times of peace and war. The PSI team -- including Logicon (a Northrop Grumman Company); Digicon Corporation; APA, Inc; Pharmacon International; and The Roberson Group -- offers the full range of current and projected functional and technical capabilities required by Health Affairs.
