The Rural School and Community Trust The Rural School and Community Trust (Rural Trust) is a national nonprofit organization addressing the crucial relationship between good schools and thriving communities. Their mission is to help rural schools and communities get better together.  is offering free posters that promote "place-based" education.

Place-based education Place-based education, sometimes called pedagogy of place, place-based learning, experiential education, community-based education, education for sustainability, environmental education or more rarely, service learning, is an educational philosophy developed largely by Professor  is the notion that schools should base teaching on the culture, history, ecology ecology, study of the relationships of organisms to their physical environment and to one another.
