The following is an excerpt: EC: In a recent conference call, you talked about 2005 being a special year. Mr. Brandon: During the first half of 2005, all of our plans came together. We had strong promotions that resonated with consumers; our advertising message continues to connect with consumers and it has been helped further by our increased share of voice. We are operating our stores effectively during a time of high growth; and we're rolling over fairly easy comps. However, we constantly tell ourselves things are never as good as they seem or as bad as they seem. We are about long-term, steady performance. Therefore, we would rather brag about our 11 consecutive years of no negative annual domestic same store sales Same Store Sales A statistic used in retail industry analysis. We're very proud of that long and strong record. EC: How has the partnership with NASCAR fared?
