Pixo Appoints Former Netscape/AOL Executive as New President and CEO; Dave Rothschild to Lead Company in Delivering Simple, Wireless Internet Capabilities to Mobile Phones.

With Rothschild's appointment, Pixo's former president and CEO, David St. Charles, will continue in his role as board member. St. Charles will focus his attention on corporate strategy, partnerships, and the investment position of the firm.

Rothschild joined Netscape in its infancy and was instrumental in bringing the Netscape browser See Netscape.  versions 1.1 through 6.0 to market. Rothschild oversaw the integration of Netcenter(TM) services with browser, email, instant messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or  and retail dial-up software, affording him invaluable experience in marrying browser technology and Internet services. In a series of senior executive roles, Rothschild managed various product development, engineering, and marketing groups at Netscape/AOL.

Rothschild's appointment is the latest in a string of activities from Pixo that continue to fuel its growth in the wireless data market.
