Pixo Appoints Former Netscape/AOL Executive as New President and CEO; Dave Rothschild to Lead Company in Delivering Simple, Wireless Internet Capabilities to Mobile Phones.

CUPERTINO, Calif.(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2000--Pixo, Inc., a leading developer of mobile commerce solutions, continues to make strides in delivering simple, wireless Internet capabilities with the appointment of former Netscape/AOL executive, Dave Rothschild, as its president and CEO. Rothschild most recently served as Vice President of Netscape/AOL's Client Products, where he oversaw the development of several releases of Netscape's Internet browser. Rothschild has also served as an advisory member of Pixo's board of directors since February 1999. By bringing on board an industry pioneer who helped develop the first widely adopted Internet software for the PC market, Pixo continues to strengthen its ability to deliver integrated software and services for today's wireless phones.

With Rothschild's appointment, Pixo's former president and CEO, David St. Charles, will continue in his role as board member. St. Charles will focus his attention on corporate strategy, partnerships, and the investment position of the firm.

Rothschild joined Netscape in its infancy and was instrumental in bringing the Netscape browser versions 1.1 through 6.0 to market. Rothschild oversaw the integration of Netcenter(TM) services with browser, email, instant messaging and retail dial-up software, affording him invaluable experience in marrying browser technology and Internet services. In a series of senior executive roles, Rothschild managed various product development, engineering, and marketing groups at Netscape/AOL.

Rothschild received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, with concentrations in finance, applied economics, and management science. He received his master's degree from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with concentrations in MIS and corporate strategy.

Rothschild's appointment is the latest in a string of activities from Pixo that continue to fuel its growth in the wireless data market.
