Pixar Names Ann Mather CFO.


RICHMOND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 1999--

Pixar Animation Studios (Nasdaq:PIXR) today announced that Ann Mather Ann Mather is member of the Board of Directors of Google Inc.

She has served as a Director of CME since April 2004. Mather was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Pixar Studios from September 1999 to April 2004.
 has joined the company as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Mather, 39, will report to Steve Jobs Steve Jobs - Stephen Jobs , Pixar's Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. .

She is a graduate of Cambridge University Cambridge University, at Cambridge, England, one of the oldest English-language universities in the world. Originating in the early 12th cent. (legend places its origin even earlier than that of Oxford Univ.  in England, and is a Chartered Public Accountant.

Pixar Animation Studios combines creative and technical artistry to create original characters and stories in the new medium of computer animation. Pixar created and produced the first computer-animated feature film, the Academy Award winning Toy Story, and in 1997 entered into a partnership with The Walt Disney Company to finance, produce and distribute five computer-animated feature films and related products. A Bug's Life was the first of these films and was the highest grossing animated feature film released in 1998. Toy Story 2 is scheduled for release this Thanksgiving, and Pixar's fourth film, Monsters, Inc., is currently targeted for a 2001 release.
