Pittsburgh is the site of Rubber Expo '05.

Rubber Expo '05, sponsored by the Rubber Division, ACS (Asynchronous Communications Server) See network access server. , is being held November November: see month.  1-3, 2005, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is a 1.5 million square foot convention, conference and exhibition building in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Completed in 2003, it sits on the southern shoreline of the Allegheny River.  in Pittsburgh Pittsburgh (pĭts`bərg), city (1990 pop. 369,879), seat of Allegheny co., SW Pa., at the confluence of the Allegheny and the Monongahela rivers, which there form the Ohio River; inc. 1816. , PA. The expo will feature 300 plus exhibitors in the rubber and rubber-related industries from around the world. The Rubber Expo, which has been in existence since 1977, will feature booths ranging in size from 10'xl0' to 20'x50' spaces, including machinery and equipment manufacturers, testing and research companies, various suppliers to the industry, rubber recyclers and custom service providers. It is the place to showcase new products, view what is happening in the industry, meet potential customers, network with current clients and have the opportunity to see the newest and best products available.

As always, there are challenges to producing a show of this size and caliber, and this year's show is no exception. For the first time, exhibitors will be faced with a floor load capacity of 350 lbs. per square foot, which may necessitate ne·ces·si·tate

the spreading of the load, based upon the specifications of what will be exhibited. Exhibitors have already been contacted by the service contractor, GES GES GTN (Global Transportation Network) Exercise System
GES General Estimates System (NHTSA)
GES Ghana Education Service
GES Government Economic Service (UK)
, and will work with them and the facility to ensure that all logistics are handled well ahead of time. Additional information will be sent to the exhibiting companies in their exhibitor kit later this year.

Show hours for Pittsburgh will be Tuesday Nov. 1 and Wednesday Nov. 2 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Thursday Nov. 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. It is imperative that exhibitors understand the importance of not breaking their booths down early on the final day of the show, as this disrupts the show, is potentially dangerous to the other exhibitors and attendees, and does not allow last minute attendees to see all the companies they may want to visit on the show floor. This is a serious issue that is currently being addressed by the Exhibits and Meeting Sites Committee.

For companies who may wish to participate in the Rubber Expo '05, a copy of the floor plan and current list of exhibitors is located on our website at www.rubber.org under the "expo homepage" dropdown menu at the top right of the home page. Pricing for the rental of space is $19/sq. ft. in Section A, $18/sq. ft. in Section B and $17/sq. ft. in Section C. Booth sizes can be configured con·fig·ure
