:TIER), today announced that Pittsburgh taxpayers can now pay their real estate taxes online or by telephone using a debit or credit card.

The City of Pittsburgh Department of Finance has authorized Official Payments Corporation to provide this new service that allows Pittsburgh taxpayers to pay their real estate tax bills with any American Express American Express (NYSE: AXP), sometimes known as "AmEx" or "Amex", is a diversified global financial services company, headquartered in New York City. City of Pittsburgh real estate tax bills are mailed in early January.

"Collecting real estate taxes is a primary responsibility of this department, and we are happy to provide our residents with this additional convenient and secure way to remit their real estate tax payments," said Scott Kunka, Director of Finance for the City of Pittsburgh.

Regular Official Payments users who securely register for a convenient feature known as "My Account" benefit from extended services and added functionality such as the ability to create recurring payments and payment reminders, make payments with less data entry, and view their transaction history online.
