Police Detective John Harris, of the Southfield, Michigan, police department, said of an exchange of gunfire in a local liquor store, "Everybody was pretty excited, so maybe their marksmanship wasn't that good." He made that comment when pondering whether two suspects who escaped after a store shootout might have been hit and later be caught seeking medical aid.

The robbery started when three armed men entered Franklin Liquor and Deli just before 1 a.m. and told the owner and an employee to get on the ground. Fearing they would be executed if they lay down, the store workers pulled their own guns and opened fire. The robbers shot back. At least a dozen shots were fired.

The store workers' aim wasn't all bad, however. They did hit one of the robbers, Jason Klemas, three times, "including once in the buttocks," reported hometimelife .com. "Klemas is charged with armed robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm."
