Enron International Enron International or EI as it was known inside of Enron was Enron's wholesale asset development and asset management business. It's primary focus was developing, building and owning Natural Gas power plants outside North America. and Shell International are building the pipeline. Opposing the OPIC investment are Amazon Watch, Friends of the Earth and The World Wildlife Fund. They say the pipeline will cut through tropical forests and sensitive wetlands in the Bolivian Amazon. An OPIC spokesman says the matter will be taken up again at the group's next quarterly meeting in June. |
