XIOM Corporation, a manufacturer of portable plastic powder powder, any mass of fine particles or dust prepared by various mechanical means, e.g., grinding of solid substances, or by chemical means, e.g., precipitation from solutions. "We are receiving orders from around the world and we are developing distribution relationships domestically and abroad," said Andrew Mazzone, president of Xiom Corporation.

"This increasing demand for our patented spray guns and coatings required us to find a facility with more space and room to grow.

"Our new headquarters is located adjacent to old offices. We will be retaining par of our old facility and converting it into a training center with some manufacturing. This new facility allows us to stay in West Babylon and maintain our corporate presence on Long Island. We are committed to growing our business here on Long Island and supporting the region that has assisted us to develop our new technology."

Xiom Corporation has invented and is now manufacturing a portable plastic powder spray coating system. When sprayed using the Xiom 1000 system, materials bond immediately to surfaces, forming coatings that are more weather-resistant than conventional powder coatings Powder coating is a type of dry coating, which is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension  and paints.

In addition to the manufacturing of the Xiom 1000, the new facility will also house the machinery for the manufacture and mixing of customized coatings.

This expanded operation also allows the company to conduct training programs for users from around the world. The company also operates an 8,000 square foot machining center plant in Farmingdale, New York Farmingdale is a village in Nassau County, New York in the United States. The population was 8,399 at the 2000 census.

The 'Village of Farmingdale is inside the Town of Oyster Bay. Farmingdale School District includes parts of both Nassau County and Suffolk County.
