Pinnacle nominations due.


BOMA/NY announced that nominations for the 2008 Pinnacles are due April 30.

The award is given for operational excellence in a number of building type categories, as well as for the best manager of the year, for vision for New York and for civic betterment. The association also sponsors an award for the outstanding local member of the year and the Earth Award. A newer award to cover the growing greening movement. The building categories are: historical, government, new construction, renovated, corporate facility, and operating building in three sizes, under 500,000 sf. 500,000 to 1 million sf and over 1 million sf. Manager awards are given in two categories: 3 to 10 years of experience and more than 10 years.

Once a building is nominated. BOMA/NY's Pinnacle Committee members will walk nominees you through the competition process, which include an on-site inspection and interview, and completion of the BOMA official awards binder, which encapsulates all management procedures, and programs within the building and which BOMA/NY President Angelo Grima calls a "blueprint for operational excellence."
