John Saugey's parents have been in the antiques and collectibles business for years. So, it is no surprise that Saugey is drawn to the things that people accumulate throughout their lives.

He and his wife, Phyllis, are in the process of building an auction house at Roland. Pinnacle Auctions will hold auctions at the new location when it is completed in about six months.

John and Phyllis are auctioneers who enjoy their work.

"I love what I do," Phyllis Saugey said. "I meet great people and get to know the families we work with." Pinnacle Auctions is more than just an auction house. The Saugeys handle estate sales and say they offer what many other estate sale businesses cannot.

"We can come in to the home and run an estate tag sale for the family over the course of two or three days," Phyllis Saugey said. "Then, what makes our business different, is that we can take the things that didn't sell at the tag sale, scoop them all up and take them to auction. We can close out the families account quickly and they don't have to worry about it," she said.

The Saugeys, who are state-certified auctioneers, currently employ five people. The Saugey's business is licensed and bonded.

Phyllis Saugey said that even a first time auction attendee will feel comfortable at an auction run by the Saugeys. Her husband always explains the process up front, goes over the auction lingo and speaks clearly.
