Chapter service pins were awarded to Danny Leshowitz, Castalloy, and Jamey Jones, Conbraco Industries Inc., Matthews, N.C. On Jan. 19, several attendees toured ArvinMeritor Inc., Spartanburg, S.C. ArvinMeritor is heavily automated to supply several automotive manufacturers with exhaust manifold assemblies. The facility specializes in just-in-time manufacturing just-in-time manufacturing (JIT) Production-control system, developed by Toyota Motor Corp. and imported to the West, that has revolutionized manufacturing methods in some industries. and delivery, intended to supply their manufactured parts on a sequenced schedule to meet specific receiving vehicles being manufactured on the automotive production line. |
