Picture perfect plates.


There seems to be an abundance of beautiful old china pieces available these days. Beautiful saucers with tiny handpainted violets golden edges may no longer have their cups. After generations of family gatherings, sending food to sick friends who forget to return containers, and moving to new homes with less than careful movers, distant relatives might have handed down incomplete sets. Perhaps there are not quite enough pieces to mix with your own china for a luncheon, but just enough to bring back pleasant memories. You might frequent flea markets See computer flea market.

These beautiful old pieces can find new life as decorative objets d'art hanging on walls in groupings. But for an added dimension, let them become unique picture frames displaying photographs as well as the antique antique. The term has been used collectively to designate classical Greek and Roman works of art, particularly sculptures; as an adjective to indicate an object, a period, or a style of ancient or early times; and as a noun, for objects of art, furniture, rugs,  plates themselves. You will have such fun collecting different patterns to group together or display on plate stands in bookcases or tables.

YOU WILL NEED:

Wonderful antique china plates of all sizes and patterns

Photographs

Cut your picture to appropriately fit inside the plate, and glue into place with a tiny amount of glue. Use a drop of glue on the edge of the top, bottom, and sides of the glass or plastic to secure to the picture and the plate. Carefully glue the gold braid around the edge of the glass, ending at the bottom center of the plate. Add a name by peeling and sticking gold letters to the plate.
