Pick-and-place manipulator lifts up to 7500 Lb, performs 700 Lifts/Hr. (New Product).

Thyssen Henschel America, Inc., Green Bay, Wisconsin Green Bay is the county seat of Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

The city is located at the head of its namesake Green Bay, a sub-basin of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Fox River.
, has introduced the Andromat Manipulator for pick-and-place operations. This handling technology features a gripper to pick up castings and is designed to replace a manual labor and fork truck foundry jobs such as sorting and removing hot castings from shakeout Shakeout

The manipulator can lift from 7-7500 lb at an average of 250-400 lifts/hr, with some models reaching 700-800 lifts/hr. By performing heavy and repetitive lifting, it reduces employee fatigue and lifting injuries.

The manipulator features an optional air-conditioned cab, a one-handed master arm controller, a working arm and an optional attached pneumatic pneumatic /pneu·mat·ic/ (noo-mat´ik)

The working arm is controlled via an F15 fighter pilot grip master arm. The working arm moves forward and back and up and down by moving the master arm in the desired direction. In addition, the manipulator cab and working arm move side to side through sideways movement of the master arm.

Controlling the positioning movements of the working arm requires no wrist action--the master arm grip features sensors (controlled by the thumb and index finger) that manipulate the working arm, and no mechanical switches or relays exist in the main movement of the gripper. Positioning movements include yawl (left and right rotation of the working arm), pitch (tilts gripper fingers up and down), roll (continuous rotation of the gripper fingers) and the gripper fingers themselves, which open and close around castings.

The manipulator uses self-greasers at all points. Grease lines and hydraulic lines are hidden wherever possible and protected inside the working arm, and grease flows from the center of the shaft to the outside. Shock absorbers Shock absorbers

The manipulator is custom-built for specific needs. It can be fitted with a grinder Grinder
