to many different situations and business processes," stated Jose J. Picazo, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Picazo Communications Inc.

"As the need to communicate with people and access information in a tightly integrated manner becomes more and more important for business, products based on industry standards and open architectures like our VS1 system will continue to grow in popularity. This agreement with Radiant Hospitality Systems demonstrates how two companies with different areas of expertise can work together to engineer a broad, packaged solution that offers great value."

"Radiant Hospitality Systems needed a strong, proven telephone system component for RapidFire that would be consistent with the existing functionality and be extensible in the future," said Kevin Eldredge, vice president, regional solutions group at Radiant Hospitality Systems.

"Picazo's willingness to do joint development with us and create a networked solution for our customers is consistent with our philosophy of offering enterprise-wide management solutions. Our products are designed so that our customers can achieve maximum profitability, growth and efficiency, while cutting operating, labor and inventory costs."

The integrated restaurant management system takes advantage of a number of the VS1 system features. Using Caller ID A telephone company service that sends the caller's telephone number between the first and second ring of the call. If the calling number is not blocked, the calling number is displayed on the handset or base station of the called party. , when a customer calls to place an order, the restaurant worker can immediately recognize the caller. If the customer has ordered from the establishment before, the customer's order history can be instantly "popped" up onto the screen. This lets the restaurant establish a more personal relationship with their customers and provide a higher level of service.

If a restaurant has institutional or other types of key accounts, callers from these companies can be automatically routed to the management staff, bypassing the more junior front-line employees and thereby ensuring high quality service.

If a customer calls and all order takers are busy with other callers, the system can play "promotions-on-hold" to inform the customer about specials and other promotions. This keeps the customer engaged until they can be serviced, and consequently avoids hang-ups and lost business.

If a restaurant is not open at certain times, voice mail messages that are left for the management staff can cause a message to be sent to a pager, allowing for timely call backs.

The integrated system also provides comprehensive reporting on both in-bound and out-bound call traffic. A restaurant manager can quickly understand call patterns, identify busy periods and optimize staffing. The system keeps track of call routing, call duration and the number of callers who hang-up without reaching a restaurant employee. The system also reports on line utilization so that monthly expenses can be minimized.
