Piano Technicians Guild Auxiliary funds scholarships for MTNA competition winners.


The Piano Technicians Guild The Piano Technicians Guild (PTG), based in Kansas City, Kansas, is the official organization of the Registered Piano Technician (RPT). It is considered the preeminent source of expertise in piano technology and service.

The PTG is a trade association with open membership.
 Auxiliary recently awarded two $500 scholarships to the junior and senior MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association
MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) 
 Piano Competition winners from the New York State MTA. The junior winner Allen Yu, of Cohoes, New York Cohoes is a city located at the northeast corner of Albany County, New York, USA. It is called the "Spindle City" because of the importance of textile production to its growth. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 15,521. , is a student of Young Kim. The senior winner Annie Guo of Ithaca, New York

, studies with Jennifer Hayghe. Both students will be invited to perform in a recital at the annual Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) Convention held in June 2006.

The Piano Technicians Guild Auxiliary supports and encourages the PTG, its mission and its members. In addition, the Auxiliary provides programs aimed at those in supporting roles to piano technicians such as business classes, customer relations, marketing and other assorted topics. Each year the Auxiliary provides a scholarship for the MTNA junior and senior piano competition winners of the state in which the annual PTG Convention will take place.
