Photuris, a developer of metro regional optical transport systems, will launch its metro core and regional optical transport systems next week at NFOEC 2002 in Dallas (September 15 - 19) at the Dallas Convention Center.

At the industry symposium, attendees can see Photuris' Optical Distribution System in full operation at booth 2841, including

-- Automated, jumperless provisioning of lightpaths and SONET circuits; reconfigurable optical add/drop of single wavelengths with unrestricted wavelength re-use; transponder innovation which enables STS-1 grooming of SONET/SDH ADM services; and in-service SONET/SDH ADM node addition and deletion.

-- GMPLS-based path computation for provisioning and service activation; application of Routing and Wavelength Assignment for optical channels and Routing and Timeslot Assignment for TDM channels; per-wavelength selectable optical layer or SONET/SDH ADM protection.

-- VersiNet(TM) Planner, which automates both physical layer and traffic engineering, giving carriers one-time node engineering.

-- Interoperability with MSPP systems, showing system support for subtending TDM access rings, end-to-end service restoration and OC-48 Link and Node Disjoint (LND) lightpaths.
