Herald during morning tea on May 16, I was drawn to an article regarding photographs of elderly patients in various stages of undress that featured in Kai kai Noun NZ informal food [Maori] kai noun N.Z. (informal) food, grub (slang) provisions, fare, board, commons, eats (slang Tiaki Nursing New Zealand. I arrived home to my copy and opened it with interest to see what the fuss was about. I wish to congratulate Alan Knowles on the professional, touching photographic display he has captured. Thank you to the co-editors for publishing these photos. Kai Tiaki Nursing New Zealand is the professional magazine for nurses. The issue that featured these photos focused on palliative palliative /pal·li·a·tive/ (pal´e-a?tiv) affording relief; also, a drug that so acts. pal·li·a·tive adj. Relieving or soothing the symptoms of a disease or disorder without effecting a cure. and aged care, and these photos supported these themes. They also highlighted the plight of aged-care workers.
