WHAT: Patrick Alft, Daniel Mendenhall, and Donald Guinn could win
$1 million - just by being on target - in BC Powder's Million
Dollar Fast Reliever Challenge.
In the challenge, all three participants will receive a bucket
of baseballs and will have one minute to get as many balls as
they can through a target. The participant who gets the most
balls through their target in that one minute will get a chance
to throw a ball at the Million Dollar Target to win the grand
prize or a $2,500 runner-up prize. Alft, Mendenhall, and Guinn
won the chance to throw for $1 million in the BC Powder contest
by filling out an entry form in a participating retail store.
WHO: Alft, Mendenhall, and Guinn will receive some pointers prior
to the contest by the man who epitomizes relief, Baseball Hall
of Famer and 1974 World Series MVP Rollie Fingers. Fingers
redefined the role of the relief pitcher during his seventeen
years in the Major League.
WHEN: September 14th, prior to 7:05 p.m. game
Fast Relief Challenge will take place at 6:55 p.m.
