PhoneticOperator awarded RSA SecurID ready certification. (Happenings).

Phonetic Systems has announced it has joined the RSA Secured Partner Program. Phonetic Systems is a developer of large-scale, voice-enabled directories which allow the creation of business applications including directory assistance, auto-attendant, call routing, paging, self-service password reset and security systems for the enterprise and carrier markets. RSA Security has certified that Phonetic Systems' PhoneticOperator is compatible with RSA SecurID authentication technology, which uses a unique, two-factor user authentication to provide a significantly higher level of security than traditional password-based systems. The combination of PhoneticOperator and RSA SecurID authentication allows secure authorized access to sensitive data over the telephone without a live operator. PhoneticOperator provides the telephony application and RSA SecurID technology provides the security mechanism. Combining the two technologies will help enable enterprises to offer automated, secure access to telephony privileges su ch as long-distance, directory assistance, self-service password reset applications and stock quotes.
