WHAT:

    Tim Lewis, Chief Technology Officer of Phoenix Technologies
    (Nasdaq: PTEC), will present an update for firmware development
    engineers on the benefits of the Extensible Firmware Interface
    (EFI). His session, titled "Implementing Pre-EFI Initialization
    (PEI) and Driver Execution Environment within Phoenix
    TrustedCore," will touch on EFI innovations related to desktop
    platforms, mobile platforms, manageability, server platforms,
    BIOS, firmware and security.

WHO:

    Tim Lewis is an architect in the Advanced Technologies Group at
    Phoenix Technologies Ltd. He has been involved in BIOS development
    for 18 years, and at Phoenix, he is responsible for all
    EFI-related technologies in the company's TrustedCore(TM) BIOS and
    is also on the UEFI board of directors. He has a B.A. in History
    from San Jose State University and an M.Div from Western Seminary.

    A demonstration of the technology highlighted in Lewis's
    presentation, as well as a demo aligned with Microsoft's vision
    for its "Secure Startup" technology, will be shown at the Phoenix
    Technologies booth #741 in the Technology Showcase, from August
    23-25 during the Intel Developer Forum. More information on
