) hardware and software, they sought out a service provider that could plan the implementation, manage third-party vendors, develop and implement a pilot program, and oversee the rollout on an aggressive schedule.

PVH selected Triversity's Managed Services An umbrella term for third-party monitoring and maintaining of computers, networks and software. The actual equipment may be inhouse or at the third-party's facilities, but the "managed" implies an ongoing effort; for example, making sure the equipment is running at a certain quality  Group, which provides an integrated set of cost-effective solutions including hardware sourcing, systems integration, staging, implementation services, and hardware maintenance. They also selected Triversity's Transactionware GM software, a robust, easy-to-use, and feature-rich POS solution that includes a configuration tool that empowers retailers to quickly and easily make changes.

After an aggressive pilot project that culminated in 50 total stores running the system during a busy holiday season, PVH was ready to rollout to the rest of its 743 stores. The company again turned to Triversity's Managed Services Group because of its familiarity with Triversity software, the experience of the management and technical team, and competitive pricing.

Triversity Managed Services was responsible for every aspect of the rollout, from updating all back-office computers, installing new modems and hard drives that had been pre-configured with Transactionware GM and other software and hardware, to shipping registers and components to stores and managing all third-party vendors.

"Triversity responded very, very well," said Don Grant, group vice president and director of retail applications, Phillips-Van Heusen. "They were available to us 24x7, and they bent over backwards to accommodate us."

"We did not lose a register," he adds. "The entire installation went up, it was clean, it ran well, on the day and at the time it was supposed to. Triversity Managed Services helped ensure a smooth implementation. You can't ask for more than that."

With the newly installed systems, PVH has seen an increase in the performance at each register. Credit-card processing has shown a significant improvement in response times, allowing stores to better service their customers.
