Philadelphia Society opens door to Instrument Exhibit at 2005 Eastern Training Conference and Show.

On May 9-11, 2005 the Philadelphia Society will host the Eastern Training Conference & Show, at the Valley Forge Convention Center, in King of Prussia, PA. The program will feature two three-day conferences as well as an exhibit of over 100 supplier companies. On display will be a wide array of raw materials, production equipment, containers, filling equipment, laboratory apparatus, and testing devices for the paint and coatings producer. The show is offered on May 10 with no admission charge.

A new feature of the Show this year is the Instrument Exhibit. This exhibit will serve as a training exercise as part of the two conferences that will be offered at the event. In addition, all show attendees are invited to attend this special exhibit, which will begin at 4:00 pm on May 10.

The Instrument Exhibit is designed to assist in training individuals on how to correctly run standardized paint tests in a laboratory setting. Tests to be featured include: viscosity (Stormer, Brookfield, Zahn), hardness (Shore, pencil, etc.), gloss and color (colorimeter, glossmeter), dispersion (Hegman, particle size analyzer), opacity (drawdown bar and cards), abrasion and scrub resistance (abrasion and scrub testors), adhesion (cross-hatch, pull-off, impact), pH, solids content, and dry time (pH meter, dry time recorder, cup and oven).
