Philadelphia Society Technical Symposium to explore nanotechnology for coatings.


Focusing on "Nanotechnology for Coatings," the Technical Committee of the Philadelphia Society will host a Symposium on May 24, 2006, at The Williamson, in Horsham, PA.

The Symposium program includes the following presentations:

"Introduction to Nanotechnology"--Dr. Ray Pearson, Lehigh University Lehigh University, at Bethlehem, Pa.; coeducational; chartered and opened 1866 by Asa Packer. It has undergraduate colleges of arts and science, business and economics, and engineering and applied science, as well as several graduate programs.  

"Nano-Material Applications in Coatings"--Dr. Ray Fernando, Cal Poly

"Effects of Alumina and Silica Nanoparticles on Polyurethane Automotive Refinish re·fin·ish

To put a new finish on (furniture).

Registration for the one-day Symposium is $175 for members of the Philadelphia Society; $205 for nonmembers who wish to join the Society; and $225 for nonmembers who do not wish to join.
