Seven recordings feature performances by Collins, including the hit September 9 single release "Look Through My Eyes"; the film's standout theme song "No Way Out"; and the joyous "Welcome," performed by Collins with the two-time Grammy Award(R)-winning gospel group The Blind Boys of Alabama. The film's sensational opening title song, "Great Spirits," is performed by none other than superstar recording artist and two-time Grammy Award(R) winner Tina Turner, and an ethereal version of "Transformation" is sung in the Inuit language The Inuit language is traditionally spoken across the North American Arctic and to some extent in the subarctic in Labrador. Collins was approached about working on Brother Bear on the day that Tarzan(R) opened in England. "The eternal challenge is to do something better than the one you've done before," says Collins. "This film has been totally different from Tarzan(R) and I loved the themes of forgiveness, compassion and understanding that it dealt with. The opportunity to get involved in the score also made this a very exciting project for me. I couldn't wait to get into the studio every day to work."

Songwriter and co-composer Phil Collins follows up his Oscar(R)-winning success on Disney's Tarzan(R) with this latest musical collaboration. In addition to writing six new songs for the film, Collins makes his debut as a film scorer, working with co-composer Mark Mancina. Collins is one of contemporary music's most popular vocalists, songwriters and performers, and has been hailed as one of the best drummers in the world. He has won seven Grammy(R) awards, and his solo albums have sold more than 70 million copies.
