Phase Matrix Announces SBIR Phase II Award.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Phase Matrix, Inc. of San Jose, Ca. has announced it was recently awarded a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract to develop a family of Radio Frequency (RF)/Microwave (MW) Down Converter Modules in a PXI (PCI Extension for Instrumentation) form factor from the Naval Air Warfare Center AD (Lakehurst, N.J.). The intended use of the Down Converter modules is in portable/transportable Synthetic Instrument Test & Measurement (T&M) systems in support of both Mil/Aero and commercial (dual use) T&M applications up to 26.5 GHz. The modules will be developed and demonstrated over a seventeen (17) month period at Phase Matrix's San Jose, Ca. facility.

BAE Systems of San Diego, Ca. is a Phase II SBIR investor and will take delivery of a set of Down Converter modules for prototype evaluation and potential application in factory, field, and/or depot Synthetic Instrument based T&M systems.
