Prior to joining Neidich & Company, Aries was the president of Aries Realty Ltd., a shopping center management, leasing, development and redevelopment company, and has been involved in over 35 shopping centers in the northeast region of the United States. He has also owned and managed various office buildings and apartment buildings in Westchester County. Aries was educated at Riverdale County School, Hobart College and New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the Graduate School of Business Administration. He has lectured at the New York University Management Institute and has authored many articles on the development and management and leasing of shopping centers. He is the founder and past president of the Builders Owners and Management Association of Westchester County (BOMA), founder of the East Yonkers Lions Club and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is an international trade association of the shopping center industry. The organization, founded in 1957, has 65,000 members worldwide, which include shopping center owners, developers and managers, as well as other individuals, , FIABCI, Young Men and Womens Real Estate Association of New York and the Dunwoodie Lodge #863F and AM. Shortly after World War II, Aries' late father, Ernest J. Aries and Mr. Neidich formed the real estate company, then known as Aries Neidich Associates. In 1962, Peter Aries joined Aries Neidich and later formed Aries Realty Ltd. In his new capacity with the Neidich Company, he will also be in charge of management and the redevelopment of workout situations concerned with distressed real estate and shopping centers in the portfolios of insurance companies, banks and lending institutions.
