Peter J. Hogan Jr., 79.

MAYNARD Peter J. Hogan Jr., 79, of Maynard, died Sept. 10, 2009. He was the beloved husband of 46 years of Mary E. (Mahan) Hogan, formerly of Clinton.

Born in Concord, he was the son of the late Peter J. & Margaret (Punch) Hogan, & brother of the late Mary C. Hogan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family members. A member of the American Legion American Legion, national association of male and female war veterans, founded (1919) in Paris. Membership is open to veterans of World Wars I and II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  Post # 235 in Maynard, Mr. Hogan was a Corporal CORPORAL. An epithet for anything belonging to the body, as, corporal punishment, for punishment inflicted on the person of the criminal; corporal oath, which is an oath by the party who takes it being obliged to lay his hand on the Bible.

 in the US Army from 1948-1952. A former employee of the US Postal Service postal service, arrangements made by a government for the transmission of letters, packages, and periodicals, and for related services. Early courier systems for government use were organized in the Persian Empire under Cyrus, in the Roman Empire, and in medieval  for over 20 years, he was retired from Digital. He loved to travel, & visited all 7 continents.
